At an after party in the small hours of one cold winter night, the band Wolves Like Us was born. In contrast to many plans made at such an hour of the morning however, this one actually came to fruition and the band began to practice together soon after. A few short months later the band recorded their first five track demo, which ended up actually getting airplay on key show NRK Lydverket and was subsequently awarded an Urørt track of the week in May. This really got the ball rolling and they were soon confirmed for Oslo’s Øya festival playing both the club day and Camp Indie last August. Plenty more activity is in the diary, with both recording of the album and shows at home and abroad already scheduled.

The band features ex-members of a bunch of Norwegian bands past and present including amongst others Amulet, Infidels Forever, JR Ewing and Silver. A seasoned coterie of rock-veterans indeed, but fresh and hungry all the same. Their aims are clear and simple: to make the post-hardcore music they all love, drawing inspiration from heroes Quicksand, Planes Mistaken For Stars and Hot Water Music but with Maiden style guitar riffs and Afghan Whigs vocal stylings.
